Magnets on all 4 sides makes this a really helpful tool
I was uncertain if I really needed this digital gage. After all, how often do I need to set up my saw blades (and similar) to precise angles? And, more importantly, how accurate would the measurements be. First, I measured the vertical setting of my table saw blade. It read 89.80 degrees from the table reference. I used my machinist's square to view the setup and sure enough there was a small gap that could be seen. It always is tricky to precisely set vertical because the carbide saw teeth can get in the way. I it simpler with this tool. However, setting cutting angles of unusual parameters is very hard. You either need a jig to make the angles repeatable and complementary matching angles -- for example, 70/20 for a splayed table leg -- or a digital gauge like this.My "home woodworker" measurements suggest that the gauge is accurate, so I can depend upon it. I will find more than occasional use for this gauge.

Total junk, buy another brand.
I bought this along with a digital protractor to hopefully make it easier to measure and cut angles on wood projects. I waited a couple of months after ordering to open this box up and try it out though and that was a bad idea. Display was almost totally blank it was so faint - even tried at least two different brand new batteries to verify it was not a battery issue. Also did not seem to measure the angle I was holding it at accurately, I could hold it at a similar angle and get completely different results even when zeroing it out and then rotating it a similar amount. If return window hadn't closed before I finally opened it.YouTube channel "I Like to Make Stuff" recommends this version instead, but I have not personally tried it:https://www.amazon.com/Wixey-WR300-Digital-Angle-Gauge/dp/B001PTGBRQ/ref=as_li_ss_tl?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1470325774&sr=1-4&keywords=digital+angle+gauge&linkCode=sl1&tag=ilik-20&linkId=4abede5e7688c286f17a508e832386f1

Works well, but...
It arrived with dead batteries. Because I am working on a project with a deadline, I had to spend an additional $7 on batteries. I tested it against my Starett combination square. After I zeroed it on the surface plate, I put it on the 45 degree angle and it read 45.00 so I am satisfied.

Works GREAT!
I originally purchased this angle finder to help me when fabricating custom welded brackets at work. Where it is very handy and works well. I especially like the fact it's magnetic which is very handy when welding. One day my dad stopped by to visit me, he picked up the angle finder and started to tinker with it. I could see his gears turning so I offered it to him to use. Since then he has used it to accurately set the angle on his miter saw, table saw and has even taken it to the golf course to measure the angles on the green. It came ready to go, right out of the box. Battery installed and comes in a nice soft carrying pouch as well. A real bargain at this price!

Take Two
The product was dead on arrival. Returned it for one that worked. Questionable build quality. Took too long for delivery both times. I'd look elsewhere if I ever need another DAG.

DOA
Purchased the Mini Digital protractor near the end of last year. I was not able to use it until now. No place to go, so I thought I would start on my list of things that needed to be done. Getting ready to do some table saw cuts and tried to use the FstDgte. DOA> Checked the batteries and they are fine. Nothing=== Nothing. I moved the batteries around, making sure they were installed correctly. nothing. The only thing holding the batteries in the battery compartment is the battery storage lid.Checked the voltage again and still good 2.3 and 2.8 v. Too late to return GOOD thing I only paid $10.I would not recommend to buy

You don't even get what you paid for with this one.
I purchased a variety of digital angle-finders and this one was the worst.Long list of Cons:- There's no way this thing has the claimed "0.1 degree" accuracy.- Don't let the decimal-places fool you, the last position (the 100th) just remains a "0".- Lots of lag in the display. Make a movement, then wait ~2 full seconds for the display to update.- Very hard to see. Not back-lit, and extremely poor contrast.- Worlds worst buttons? Squishy rubber. No clicks, no noise, no indication that you actually pushed the button.- Cheap housing. It flexes and doesn't sit flush.- Weak magnets. Barely holds its own weight at 90 degrees.I'm giving this thing 2-stars because in a pinch it would be better than nothing.

Worked great for me!
My daughter and I are working on a project that she chose to do for NJHS. She wanted to build a Little Free Library for our community. The tools I have are a Black and Decker table saw and circular saw. I used the digital protractor to set the blade angles so we would have a nice clean fit on the boards. The angle of the cuts were accurate and made assembly go smoothly. The magnets held the device in place and did not slide when adjusting the blade to get the correct angle. I am glad I made this purchase and will definitely use it for future projects.
