Just Bagels Large Poppy Bagel, 24 oz

If you read the instructions on the package, it is clear that this product was supposed to arrive to the customer frozen, and stay frozen until consumed. (The instructions say to either toast the frozen bagel in an oven/toaster oven, or to put in the microwave to thaw.)So, you have two choices with these bagels: (1) either put them directly in your freezer (to re-freeze them, as is) which I don't recommend, but if you don't have time to cut them, DO THIS, or (2) cut each bagel in half, and then immediately freeze them.I don't recommend re-freezing them without first cutting them, because Amazon has already done them a disserve by thawing them out, which has affected their quality. If you want these bagels to taste their best, you are going to have to eat them toasted. You can't just re-freeze them and follow the microwave directions - they will disappoint you, if you do.

They tend to get moldy quickly.We've solved this by slicing them and putting them in individual freezer bag and into the freezer.I live in Kew Gardens Queens and am surrounded by some of the best bagel shops in the world.The local Bagels are better, but not by much.

This review is for the plain, I haven't had a chance to try my poppy ones yet. These are so good they taste like bakery bagels. I haven't had an issue with mold and we took about 5 days to finish eating them. I will freeze just to be safe now that I read all of the negative reviews about the mold. But I would highly recommend these bagels.

as far as taste the bagels test great my only issue is and its a big one in less than 24 hours after opening the package i found mold on the remaining bagels this is the 2nd time ordering and it happens with the first batch i ordered a month ago

As a native New Yorker, I have to say that JUST BAGELS makes the best bagels that you are going to find on the commercial market today.Supermarket brands like Thomas' strike me as essentially being bagel-shaped white bread. But JUST BAGELS bagels are the best option if you want to experience a real bagel.

5 of the 6 bagels had mold right out of the bag. I received them on the sell-by date.Too bad, the non-moldy one that I ate was tasty.

Taste great and toasts well. My only issue is I feel like they mold way to fast... and we're a family of 4.
