This is my 4 year old daughter's favorite book. It's really cute
This is my 4 year old daughter's favorite book. It's really cute. First we checked it out at the library, but she didn't want to give it back. We then surprised her for her birthday and it's still a favorite 9 months later!

Nephew loved this book for Christmas, pulled it out of a foot high stack of books again and again.
Bought this for my nephew who loves books. He is 1 1/2 and pulls this one out of his gigantic stack of reading material. Loves the cutout on the cover. Very happy with the buy, it was his favorite Christmas present (I think. But hey, I gave it to him so take that with a grain of salt).

Great Kids Book
This is a really fun book and has quickly become a family favorite. My daughter giggles at the silly mouse who thinks she ate the moon.

Adorable
Little mouse is lying in bed looking at the moon through the hole in her little house. She makes a wish to have just a tiny piece of the moon. The next morning when Little Mouse looks out of her hole she sees a slice lying on the ground. It smells so good that she eats half of it. She's horrified when she realizes that because of her appetite the moon will no longer be round. Her friends try to cheer her up, but it isn't until the moon comes out that night that she begins to feel better again. The peep through design with the adorable illustrations will delight children and parents. The pictures contribute and help tell the story. Children will love the lyrical text and fun plot. The print is large and easy to read. The moon and bedtime theme make this a perfect fit for a bedtime story.I received this book free of charge from Children's Lit in exchange for my honest review.

Did Little Mouse Really Eat the Moon?
The peep through cut-out feature of this book is really delightful and should enchant young children. Little Mouse wants to eat the moon as it looks so delicious. One day she finds something on the ground which looks like a piece of the moon, and she eats it. Then she fears the moon won't be its same round, wonderful self ever again. Her friends - rabbit and mole - try to convince her that the moon is okay, and she couldn't have eaten the moon. Little Mouse doesn't believe them until they prove to her the moon is up in the sky looking very round and bright. The vivid colors in this book in blues and greens with the contrasting yellow-gold moon are striking. And it's fun to see what is peeping through the peep hole on the pages. This is a lovely book for preschool and kindergarten children to enjoy looking at. 4.5 stars

Great book for toddlers and primary aged children
I’ve now bought most of the Little Mouse books by this author as my son absolutely loves the stories. The peep through or flap styles of the books are an added bit of fun to story time.
