Tolex Amplifier Cabinet Covering, Vinyl Tweed, 18" wide x 1 yard

I used this to re-cover the speaker on my fish tank TV after my toddler poked holes in the original.It looks authentic and is heavy duty! The little inclusion in the picture I shared is a spot of glue I accidentally smeared and not an issue with the fabric. Fish don’t make a lot of noise, so I don’t know how it would perform on an actual speaker, but I’m very happy with the look of it!

I made a custom cab for my little Fender Mustang I V2 practice amp (with an added a Jensen MOD 10 speaker). I wanted it to match my original Fender Blues DeVille 4X10. The vinyl tolex isn't actually the "tweed" covering that Fender uses, but it matches fairly well and is aesthetically pleasing enough. I also used some oxblood grill cloth to complete the look. Installation was straight-forward and I took my time to carefully plan out the application of the contact cement. I was also careful on the corners to get nice, clean seams. This was my first tolex covering, and I think it turned out OK. It took about 9 days for shipping, but The price was reasonable and shipping was free.

I used it to restore an old Singer Sewing machine case. I used Weldwood brush on contact cement. I sealed the wood with Varithane first. Made a paper pattern. The Tolex is easy to cut with a scissors or utility razor. The tweed color matches the original cloth cover that was falling apart.

Covered my 2x12 speaker cabinet and it looks beautiful.
