CAVIX DM-55N Universal Quick Release Clamp For Tripod Head Compatible with Arca style plate

This is a really well made Arca Swiss clamp that can compete with other big brands for much less money. I use this to convert my  Manfrotto 494RC2 Ball Head with Quick Release Replaces Manfrotto 484RC2  to Arca Swiss compatible. Couldn't be happier! You also need  Boss Adapter / Bogen / Manfrotto Tripod Head Female to Male for Clamp Replacement Desmond  to mount the clamp on the ballhead.

These little clamps are great. I've bought a couple under various brand names, they all pretty much appear to come from the same factory. In a quest to convert everything I have to Arca style. Build quality seems good, screw turns smoothly and clamps tightly. Bubble level seems a little off. I inherited a couple of L-Plates and bought this as a means of putting them to use.This little fish bone style Acra-Swiss tripod head is amazing for its price. It's durable, easy to use, standardized screws, and light. My only criticism is that the black color seems to be painted on, rather than added as powder during the manufacturing process, but that's real minor.I pair this with a Fugetek mini tripod for my Sony A6000 and NEX C3 for highly mobile, very light rig.

RRS and Arca-Swiss don't offer really small fishbone-style plate clamps, so this was the best I could find. And surprise, it's really good and well-made! It fits well on my tabletop tripod and my monopod, and works perfectly with my RRS baseplates on all my cameras. Except for my large studio tripod, which has a classic RRS clamp that goes for more than $120 these days, I use these on all my tripods and monopods. They work amazingly well for something that costs 1/10th as much as RRS or Arca-Swiss clamps. The twist action is slower than the lever on the best clamps, but for this size and price, it is an amazing clamp.

Bought this to add on top of the Move Shoot Move Z plate, so that I can more easily attach my camera to the plate. I have my camera mounted to an Arca Swiss L bracket, and I prefer to leave it attached to that. I have couple of Arca Swiss nodal slide rails that I use in combination with the L bracket. This Arca Swiss setup allows me a great deal of flexibility whether I'm using my gimbal or a regular pan and tilt tripod head. I don't have to waste time attaching and detaching different plates. I just loosen the clamps and move what I need to move, with minimal effort. The Move Shoot Move Z plate not only allows the different angles, but also allows rotation, so it effectively replaces a ball head (or augments it), and to me, locks down a lot more securely. So, this clamp, which is very well made, completed the versatility of the Z plate.The clamp came with the 3/8" to 1/4" adapter screw. I can easily use this clamp to mount directly to a tripod, or to replace a clamp on a head. It has two levels. The turning knob is long enough and large enough to allow easy adjustment. The tightening and loosening is a slow and smooth adjustment.I would buy this again, if I needed an additional clamp for my kit.

As excited as I was to get a PeakDesign Capture v3 for mounting my DSLR to my backpack straps when hiking/backpacking, I quickly realized that my tripod(s) would not support the inclusion of the PeakDesign plate mounted to the camera body. After some searching, I discovered there Arca-Swiss conversion mounts, and now I can quickly and easily transition from pack to tripod and back again.I can't speak to the durability of this particular product because I've not yet had it for very long.While it's among the less expensive options I've found, it does seem to be well-made, and the numerous positive reviews give me a bit more confidence.I'm glad it included the 1/4" adapter because I need it for my tripods.

Fills the bill -- at less than a third the cost of a similar product at my local camera store. There is nothing about this, other than perhaps a brand name printed on the object, to distinguish it from the high-price stuff. After very careful examination, I have no issue trusting this with a $3500 camera body and $2000 lens attached. Good stuff!

This is a terrific and inexpensive bracket to adapt a tripod head to accept any Swiss ARCA camera plate. I installed this on my Manfrotto 496RC2 ballhead. Please note that, at least for the Manfrotto, you also need to purchase a Desmond Boss Adapter Tripod Head Female Male Clamp Replacement - small plastic piece that allows the Rayfoto QR Adapter to securely attach to the tripod head. This adapter allows me to keep my Peak Design Capture Clip plate installed on my camera at all times.

This product is labelled Arca Swiss compatible but did not open enough to suit 6 of 8 Arca Swiss "compatible" plates. So it's usefulness is severely limited.

This system is by far the best option for anyone using a tripod.

This product is perfect for use on my L bracket, used to hold my autoguider.
