Its the best external filter .Sufficient for up to 100 gallon tank ..Makes my aquarium crystal clear ..Note : external filter is just a motor + crtridges. So everything depends on what kind of bio media u are using .I use -ZeoliteBioceraActivated charcoalCeramicUltra Fine sponge filterIf all of the above is usedThan no need 2 worry about your tank . It will remain healthy . Cleaning : needs only once in 2/3 months..
