Read the insert, and do a search on how to use these lids.
Just a few updates for you if you are on the verge or are wanting to try them. You will be glad you read this. There is a plastic tit, where they push the plastic mold, you will need to take something to shave that off, I used a box knife to scrap it off. The rubber seals like, should say love to stick together, so be extra caution to look at each one. There will be no ping like you hear when you use a button lid. The lids will look like they are bulging in the center, that will go down, and use cation on how you tighten up your ring before and after canning using the tattlers. You will love them.

Easy to use & reliable canning lids for water bath and pressure canning
Follow the instructions on the box and you will love using these lids! I have had zero sealing failures when canning and zero failures with my jars after months on the shelf. I use water-soluble labels on my jars for labeling the contents instead of writing on the lids. Mark the edge of the rubber gasket with a sharpie to keep track of the number of times it has been used. Flip the gasket over each time you reuse. These are user-friendly and eco-friendly. Lots of how-to videos online.

Love!
With the canning jars and seals not available this last year, I vowed to stock up on Tattler lids at first chance. These are reusable, so I can use time and time again. They operate slightly different than standard seals. You must tighten immediately after removing from canner. That’s an easy enough change of process

They seem to work well though, a bit of a learning curve.
I just discovered these reusable lids. So far, they seem to work great for canning. You do have to be a bit more careful with the process. Center the lid carefully on the gasket. Don't overtighten the lids, as the reviews suggest. Not that successful with a vacuum sealer.

Wow, I wish I had knew about these before!!
Absolutely love these lids. I so wish I had known about them before. I did buy a lot of them and that was pricey but I love the reusability of them. Will use these for now on and tell everyone to use them!!

Worth the investment
I risked making a large purchase to get the per package savings. I used these last night, the only major difference in canning with these reusable lids is tightening the band when you remove from the canner. I suggest getting some nice silicone oven gloves for the tightening. Overall these are going to save me a lot of money.

Not safe at all
After using these for 4 years, I can honestly say that they are not worth the investment. I follow the directions to a tee and I still have so many failures and this last time I had 3 of 17 lids just blow off causing boiling broth to explode all over my kitchen. And out of the 17 jars of broth, I had 6 failures! I only used these lids on food that can be processed over and over and not get ruined, because of the failure rate. NOTE: I have almost a 100% success rate with regular lids, I know how to follow directions and can. Thank God I was not lifting the jars out of the canner at the time or I would have been severely burned. I don't even feel like I could pass these along to anyone for fear of them getting injured! My time and energy and safety is definitely worth more than the money saved using reusable lids.
