Brackets are strong but the pole flexes in strong wind.
I bought this set to attach my new weather station's sensor pod to, to give it height and therefore maximum exposure to wind and rain.The two fixing brackets are heavy and sturdy and seem fairly well welded. They secure the pole well and the two U-bolt fixings that attach the pole to the brackets are adequate - though another half inch longer would help with adjustments needed to ensure the pole is completely vertical. The pole itself is made of aluminium and is of medium weight. Sadly, in my case, that's where the whole kit fails to do its job as well as I'd hoped. The pole tends to flex in the wind. Even though it is securely fastened to the securely mounted brackets, there is too much flex in the unsupported length of pole (about eight feet). The weight of the weather station pod is not that great but it is enough to increase any flexing to an unacceptable level. It wasn't really possible to anticipate this and it is disappointing. I expect the wobbling will impact on the accuracy of my rainfall readings so I now have the problem of finding a way to anchor the pole to stop the wobbling or find a more rigid pole and secure it to the brackets.

Trusted TV aerial fixing
Great sturdy piece of kit, lasted thru the strong winds we've had. A must have if you are serious about securely fixing your large TV aerial, which I have two of (6ft each)
