Guava, Yerba Mate...and Hibiscus?
Having purchased pure Yerba Mate Tea from the Rio company before I am appreciative of their high quality ingredients and good tasting teas.In my estimation, this product does indeed have the taste and caffeinated contents of Yerba Mate as well as fruity aroma of Guava. However what I was not expecting was the amount of Hibiscus leaf in the tea contents and taste. Yes Hibiscus is a fantastic leaf with well documented health benefits but in this case, it’s taste has taken control of this blend’s taste- something not stipulated in the front cover.Nevertheless, it’s role in my tea arsenal has been re-evaluated and repurposed as a refrigerated cold brew, suitable for a summer month refreshment, so all’s well that ends well.Good quality tea, simply be aware of the tart hibiscus focused flavour.
