OEM product for a quarter the price
I have a 2014 Lexus IS 250. Toyota wants $260 for the driver side door lock actuator. Toyota doesn’t build the actuator, a subcontractor does, that subcontractor is Aisin. I bought my aisin replacement unit here and paid a quarter of that price for literal oem equipment. Can’t beat it. 10/10 would recommend and buy again. Installed today and was indeed identical to the Aisin stock unit I pulled out of my Lexus. Works flawlessly.

Excellent Product; Intermediate Level of Installation
Fits the 2014 Corolla S perfectly!Has been a few months since it’s been installed and still works perfectly. The installation process is straight forward (there are very helpful YouTube videos you can reference from). The only semi-difficult part is aligning the device to the inner door’s key mechanism just because it’s a tight space to work in. For this, it helps to loosen the screw that holds the door handle. It may take a few minutes of persistency but once you’ve got it aligned, it’s once again straight forward from there!

Good quality
This is in fact a genuine aisen door latch/ actuator. The part is great quality and definitely better than aftermarket parts that cost around the same price. Aisen is an OEM manufacturer for Toyota and this is the exact part you would get from the dealer, but at a much better price.

It works perfectly
Easy to install with just a little patience, it is a plug and play job. Thanks, now I don't have to be locking my car manually any time it is needed.

2022 Toyota Tundra
This worked. So many models that seem to use different lock actuators but this one worked on an SR5 crewmax. If you're having to tackle this - take yours out. Get front and back pics of current actuator, and then hunt. I had to send another back that swore it was the right one. Oh and DO NOT BUY AFTERMARKET. This brand is what Toyota uses for a reason. Thanks, seller

Worked well, replaced OEM AISIN. 2016 Highlander
Even though the install went well, I really was conflicted about replacing this unit when I realized that the OEM unit giving the problem was also a AISIN. In a 5 year old vehicle it should not have been acting up. Hopefully they found their bad batch and corrected it on these newer ones.

Works Perfect. Better than factory. New part is metal vs original plastic.
Arrived quickly and was the right part and a good fit. INSTALLATION HINT: It is easy to miss that there is a vertical rod located deep inside the rear of the door that goes from the old door lock actuator up to the door lock (key hole). This rod pops out of it's hole while you are wiggling the old part out. Be sure to put this rod back in place while wiggling the new part into position (if you forget this step, all the other door locks will work fine but the subject door will not lock or unlock electrically). After that you can bolt the new part in place and complete the reassembly of the door panel.

works for 2015 Highlander - same exact manufacturer as OEM - watch a video to get all of the steps
If you want to see how to install, I think this is one of the better videos on you tube : "2014 -19 Toyota Highlander Power Door Lock Actuator Replacement"... that is not a direct link, but if you type in those words a good video should come up. Although most parts that have a small electric motor inside (like this one) normally go bad all of a sudden and stop working completely, mine was "going bad" over a period of months on the driver side door of a 2015 Highlander Platinum Limited. 95% of the time key fob worked, but 5% of the time no matter how close or how many times key fob was pushed driver's door would not unlock, and we had to enter thru passenger side and reach over to unlock driver's side. From reading a lot of on line postings, it appears for whatever reason these actuators are problem prone in the 2014 - 2019 range. Many people have reported the driver's door normally goes out first, as it used the most often.... but many report that other doors will have similar problems months or years after the driver's door. Toyota does NOT replace these once vehicle is past warranty. If you call local Toyota shop to get a bid, it will be about $300 for part and $200-300 for labor, total of about $500-$600 at dealer. This ASIN is supposedly the exact same part made by the same company that Toyota dealers use, and it's not an aftermarket nor is it "rebuilt". I guess that's good that it's the same as OEM, but not good as the OEM have a history of going bad. Note that if you decide not to purchase this one, some being sold on Amazon and / or Ebay are actually "rebuilt" - yo can tell that if they require you to send your old one back so they can rebuild and re-sale it. The rebuilt ones (I am guessing new electric motor only) are about the same price as this brand new one, so I went with this one. No telling how long it will last. As many have pointed out, when you install the tricky part is making sure you get a vertical round metal round inserted into a hole on the new unit. I found I had to hold the actuator about an inch down from where the mounting holes lined up, inserted the rod down into actuator, and then raise actuator back up to align with mounting holes. However, it took me 3 times to keep that rod inserted - so make sure once you get one or two mounting bolts started, and before tightening them, you double / triple check to make sure you can see and feel that rod is inserted and in place properly

Not oem
Cover part is missing on the product, this cannot certify that the mecanism wont get filled with dust and other elements. Also, the actuator doesn’t seem to work. Will return for a refund
