Fabriano Studio Watercolor Blocks CP 300 GSM 36 X 48 cm

The painting of the sheep was made on Fabriano 25% cotton, 200gsm, cold pressed paper. The three paintings in the other photo were made on Canson Montval 100% cellulose, 300gsm, cold pressed paper. Canson Montval is better in every way; it's cheaper, has good absorbency, can handle multiple washes, is bright and achieves a glowing colour under a transparent wash; see the painting in the centre of the second photo to see what I mean.The Fabriano product on the other hand is dull, and anything more than one wash will create blooms and tears. The painting of the sheep turned out somewhat OK because it didn't need many washes and I thickened the paint to avoid too much wear and muddiness. But it was challenging to work with because the paper doesn't respond well to watercolors at all.

It doesn’t let the paint flow and is not suited for wet on wet technique at all. Watercolour doesn’t flow, doesn’t mix and doesn’t do it’s thing.Since it is 25% cotton one shouldn’t except it to perform as an ideal watercolour paper.Beginners will find it even more challenging.

Fantastic paper that is vegan (no animal products in sizing or gumming). Great absorbency and texture. My favourite watercolour paper

This product dosent perform the way it appears to be first of it is very small and the paper is thick and good but the tooth of the paper is very much for only watercolors and acrylics I actually bought for my markers and its no good for it and sure if your using for color pencils don't ever buy this sheets

This paper is good for the money. Fabriano studio papers are 25% cotton whereas fabriano artistico papers are 100% cotton. Hence the water absorbency is less with these compared to artistico but this works just fine for amateurs/emerging artists.

I really liked the paper. Although its 200 sm but its way better than other brands.go for it
