cannot get it to work! terribly disappointing device
I read reviews about others having issues getting the device to work when you plug it in, and needing to contact support, but i was confident i am tech savvy enough (being a network engineer). Too bad this device is so bad have not been able to get it to connect for 4 days now.. so much for a father's day gift.Their tech support is also clearly outsourced and not very skilled. they have given me wrong info multiple times. the worst part is they end the chat with feel free to contact us again we are 24/7 and they clearly are not.I really wanted to like this device and was hopeful that since Meural was acquired by Netgear the issues i read about would go away.. but sadly that's so far very far from reality. will have to send it back.Technical details:Device is supposed to broadcast a wifi signal for you to connect to from the app so you can configure it. It does not, even though it was clearly brand new/sealed. After multiple attempts to reset, i can get it to (sometimes) broadcast its wifi, and even then the signal shows weak (1/4 or 2/4 bars even when i'm next to it). once i connect to the signal and follow the steps in the app I get to the part where I should select my wireless network but the list never populates with any of the available wireless signals. I am only left with the option to enter the info manually, and when i do so i right away get an error message asking me to start over. The error message says there's an issue with your network, you're not connected to the internet. if i hit start over, i have to reset the device again and i am back where we started

Yeah, I am in love...
I just walked by my Meural again and had to stop and stare. It is beautiful! I am staring at a Van Gogh that looks like real paint. Yes, you can tell it is lit in contrast to other art on my walls (the light sensor does help). And yes, the cord hanging down kind of ruins the effect (but I have not hated it enough to try to hide it yet). But, the images are stunning! And while posting my own photos or downloaded photos is cool and looks great asw, I am a big fan of the art subscription and having it randomly scroll through modern and classic works from various artist and museums. And everyone that has come over and seen it, including the handyman who installed it, has raved. The swiping takes some getting used to and not as simple as the video shows, but again, I cannot say enough for how amazing the art looks.Caveats, yes. But happy, YES!

Not worth the price!
This is basically a glorified computer monitor. It’s too small to be the showcase of any wall. Also, even after paying the annual membership, most of the really nice art is only available for purchase. I mistakenly assumed that once I paid the annual membership fee, everything was available. Wrong.I would strongly advise anyone considering this purchase to walk away! It seems like a great idea, but does not deliver.

Wife & I couldn't decide what to display over the fireplace, so we went with everything
Our fireplace mantle has been bare for the better part of a year. I wanted to display a nautical painting (it didn't fit the room but is nice) and my wife insisted it be a flower scene she'd been given by her mother (it fit the room but was unexceptional). Our selection was limited to what we already owned, and buying anything new would be a big investment, plus more discussions. Then I got an email from Netgear (we own Arlo) introducing us to Meural. After doing my research, and looking at all the alternatives--of which there are none (take my word for it, I even emailed competitors to ask if they were getting new product and they sadly informed me no, nor did we want another TV, and I've had horrible experience with Samsung)--so we went with this digital canvas. I'm glad we did. Now my wife and I can display some of the greatest art ever made, and we've found amazing works and artists we never knew existed. The quality is exceptional, so much so that it has fooled friends and family. The scheduler is a nice feature as is the auto dimming. Additionally, I'd recommend a subscription to the service, as it seems to be updated regularly and has exposed us many new things. I understand the concern about cost, but we decided it is worth it and have no regrets.

It's Not the Louvre.,but i didn't expect it to be.
I got this for my wife because she is/ was involved in teaching the fine arts to grade school students. We would never attempt to buy expensive art. Plus our taste vary. ( I'm a dogs playing poker kind of guy)The size and replications are very nice but remember it's a digital copy so it is a bit bright and seems to adjust to the ambient light in the room. Great for family photos. I am finally learning the difference from a Van Gogh from Picasso. Don't ask me to spell them again...…………" love it, no.my wife really likes it. hate it no, but I'm learning to like it...…...

Incredible Clarity
this is an amazing way to display works of art . I can’t tell you how many times we stopped watching TV just to watch the different pieces of art being displayed. The pictures are so vivid that you can’t even tell that’s not a real painting . there are also moving live live pictures, And you can display your own photos hospital as we and you can display your own photos as well.

Would buy again
One feature it is missing, friends have a photo frame that actually has an email address so their relatives can email pictures to it. This one does not have that benefit. Owner is the only one that can upload pictures. Other than that, we are pleased.
