Extremely well made. Combination of an attractive handle coupled with an excellent Damascus pattern steel blade makes for an overall outstanding knife.

Daddy Chef offers a solid bread knife that performs well. It's a great balance of ergonomics, high performance finish, and style.My number one love for this knife is how good it feels to hold. The bolster design allows me to pinch while my middle finger rests perfectly underneath for a position that feels very natural to draw and push. My old bread knife has a dramatic transition and I have to twist my wrist a little which requires a very definite overhand hold. This one feels like it just rests in my fingers while my thumb and forefinger merely guide it.The serrations are wide and deep. They're sharp and slice well and the points bite down firmly into the crusty Italian batard that I first tested this on. The rustic crust didn't crumble or flake and the cut was clean through it. The tender, bubbly inside was easy to move through without any tearing or shredding whatsoever.The handle is beautiful and looks like natural wood but I believe it's some type of composite. It makes for a good working weight — not too heavy and not too light, and easy care. The rivets don't feel completely flush with the handle as you can feel some edges slightly raised when you run your fingertip over them. You can't tell by looking though. This slight oversight in workmanship would be my only criticism, but it's very minor and not worth docking a star.The VG-10 steel feels very solid and the Damascus veneer is beautiful. It's not too thick either and good for slicing cake layers. Another two inches would make this ideal in length for large cakes.I love it. This is indeed a near perfect bread knife.

As a former chef, I love a good knife, and this is a good bread knife. I will be very happy to add this to my collection. It feels good in my hand and is nicely balanced. I found it easy to use. It is elegant and comes in a nice gift box.The blade is full tang and made of Damascus steel. It is 8 inches and has a serrated edge perfect for cutting bread. I own a couple of other Damascus steel knives and I love them. This is my first knife from Daddy Chef, but it might not be my last.

This is a very nice bread knife with a heavy comfortable handle that makes this knife well balanced and a pleasure to use. The Damascus steel look is subtle and ads a nice texture to the look. The blade is stiff and is very sharp and cuts easily through bread. It is nicely packaged and would make a great gift.

Not a professional chef, but feel like one at home. Wow! This knife is great. It is the most fancy kitchen knife I have owned and also the most well-made. It feels good to the grip and is well-balanced and weighted.I’m a meat-lover and I will say that I’ve yet to find a knife that cuts as well as this one through raw meat. Sliced through like butter! Impressive. It came in a nice box and has a nice design. Great for a gift idea!So worth it!

The blade is exceptional but the handle is bad. The handle is wood with 3 metal rivets but unfortunately they didn't sink the rivets completely so they stick up and the edges are a little sharp. This makes the knife uncomfortable to hold for any length of time. Luckily it's a bread knife and not a chef's knife so I don't have to handle it for extended periods. At this price point, I expected better.
