These brushes turned out to be better than anticipated
These brushes turned out to be better than anticipated. They perform beautifully. I used them when I was making baby back ribs. The brushes are supple and paint on barbeque sauce so easily an then they clean up quickly. I first rinsed them with out any detritus and I put them in the dishwasher. They came out good as new. The price was compatible with my budget. A win win all around!! Great buy.So much so, I even emailed this company directly to register my delight with pastry brushes. GOOD BUY!!

GREAT QUALITY BRUSHES AND GOOD PRICE, DEFINITELY ORDERING AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.
Good quality product, especially for the price. Holds thin liquids, like melted butter, remarkably well. Great tool for home bakers. I've had these brushes for a little over a year now and they're basically just like new. The only reason for 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 is because of the detachable brush head. While it is very convenient for cleaning, it doesn't hold on as well overtime. It's a small flaw compared to the rest of the great features these brushes have. I'm definitely ordering again if anything should happen to my current ones.

These basting brushes are easy to use and easy to clean and come in ...
These basting brushes are easy to use and easy to clean and come in two fun colors! I love that the handles are not wood. They are made of a light weight material and are slender and easy to hold onto, even for a person with small hands. The brush head slips off for easy cleaning. They are great at basting. I hate the old bristle brushes. They arrived when promised and the company that sells them has even sent me several emails telling me of other uses for these brushes. Great product!

Brushes are fine. "detachable" head is a gimmick
Brushes are fine. "detachable" head is a gimmick, seems like they didn't bother to glue the brush head onto the handle. Beats the bristle brushes where worn bristles end up in your food.

Cumbersome
Not sure if I have a defective pair or not. The brush heads seem to come off way too easily. All to often as I'm basting or brushing the heads slip off and I have to pick them out of the sauce I'm basting with. I'm going to go back to the normal brushes.

Love it!
I've used this a few times now, and it works better than I expected. I was able to easily get a thin coat of olive oil on my veggies for the grill. The bristles are pretty floppy, though, so I wasn't sure how it would work for thicker sauces. It did take a few more passes than the typical paint brush style baster, but it really had no problem spreading Sweet Baby Ray's (super thick) sauce over chicken. It's a cinch to clean, and unlike the paint brush style I know it's clean; I can see through the bristles.

Brushes that act like brushes
I have had nothing but a good experience with these. Now granted this is the first silicone brush that I have used in a long time. The company that makes them has been nothing but kind and asked if I was enjoying my brushes or if I had any issues so I thought that they deserved a minute of my time for a review. These brushes are easy to clean, work well at guess what being a brush, and are durable (I haven't lost a piece of them yet). Overall they were a great purchase and I would buy them again.

Still a little hard to clean
I got these because I was tired of getting herb particles stuck in traditional brushes' bristles. The herbs still get stuck in these, even after running them through the dishwasher, but are much more easily cleaned out using a toothpick. The heads detach for some reason, though, and while it hasn't affected their use yet, I expect it will eventually have some impact on their sturdiness.
