Great product and great company!
I like to have the doors open 8 months of the year, but that means we have a fruit fly issue most of the year. We you a Ketchi, but wanted to try something more natural. So we bought our first duo of carnivorous plants and we chose Predatory Plants based on the reviews. Both plans came very alive and healthy, with dew/mucilage on the tips of every carnivorous thread. We followed the instructions and the plants did great! There were no stems that died. They did lose their mucilage after the first week, but it came back quickly with base watering in through the tray.Picture 1 is this plant eating 2 fruit flies. The first is already curled into the leaf and the second has been dead for over 3 days. I say already curled, but it took about 60 hours for it to curl over the first fly. This plant caught both fruit flies on its own.Picture 2 is the same plant from its full view. It came as two plants with intertwined roots!Picture 3 is the full view of where they sit on the counter. Purchased appropriate plant lighting above them with hydration through distilled water. I do feed them 1 drop of Jessi Mae per week.As you can see, we have bought 4 more plants, since they have done so well. Some people comment that the plant size is smaller than they expected for the price. I did not feel this way and appreciate the high quality. These look fairly straightforward to propagate.Picture 4 is the other plant with the first order. Look how healthy it is! It didn't lose a single leaf.Picture 5: Predatory Plants also gave me a new breed of pitcher plant for free! Their front facing customer service and clear growing instructions is outstanding!Picture 6: the variety of venous fly trap that I ordered. This is the only plant from Predatory Plants sent that had leaves die when it arrived and over the next 2 days. About 50% of the leaves died and turned completely black. But after pruning, you can see that there are still a ton of leaves and the plant is thriving. I caught and placed a fruit fly into one of the traps and it closed immediately and is still digesting.I am very happy with these plants and the clear guidance on how to grow each plant. They provide instructions with each plant, in online instructions, and in tutorial videos.Im hooked!

Be Patient and Your Cape Sundew Will Surprise You with Bloom Spikes!
I took a chance and ordered a Cape Sundew from Predatory Plants on 25 May 2023 to kill those tiny little black flies that seem to come from nowhere. I have over 200 plants in my home and wanted to try my hand at keeping a carnivorous plant indoors (my Venus fly traps and native sarracenias enjoy being outside year-round). I watered the sundew using distilled water (mine enjoys setting in at least two inches of water) and waited for over a month for it to produce the 'dew.' I started to worry that I was doing something wrong and contacted Predatory Plants via the messaging center on Amazon. The seller responded the next morning, telling me that they needed lots of bright light and water to produce the 'dew' on their leaves, so I purchased a set of small grow lights (also from Amazon) that allowed me to give my sundew a full 14 to 16 hours of light per day (I set my timer for 16 hrs/day). I forgot about the 'dew' issue and just kept the water level up, and after spending a week on vacation in early July, I came home to 'dew' on the leaves and lots of new leaves! As you can see from the first picture, the sundew is coated in dew and bugs--these are great plants! Fast forward to about a week ago when I came home from work and noticed a 12" spike coming out of the sundew with lots of little flower buds. And once I noticed that spike, I realized there was another smaller spike behind it. Amazing! The last picture is a close-up of the flowers since they really are tiny, but I couldn't be happier. Thanks to the prompt response from Predatory Plants and following their advice, my sundew, which was already a very nice size, has tripled in size and produced flowers. I highly recommend this seller in terms of the size of their plants, the value for the money spent, and their prompt attention to customer concerns. You won't regret your purchase. I may even have to repot my sundew sooner than expected, thanks to their advice.

Amazing little plant from a great seller.
The sundew plant arrived in beautiful shape. It was very well packed. The instructions were very clear and concise. I live in Florida and although I blast the A/C continuously through the summer time, it never gets particularly dry in my house. I decided to leave the cup over the plant for a few weeks after receiving it. I also purchased a small plant water tray, in which I put the entire pot, and filled about 3/4" with distilled water. I keep the tray filled to ensure the soil in the pot is always wet. It's also worth mentioning that I use the Lordem USB-powered full spectrum light for this plant. I position the light about 8" above the plant and have it on full power. It is on a 12 hour cycle. The plant is doing great so far, and I have not noticed any burning or wilting.Within about 2 days, all the leaves formed dew drops. I placed a small dead cricket on one of the leaves, and within a few hours, the leaf had curled over it. That leaf has since died (probably because the cricket was too big for it to digest), but in the few short weeks I've had it, the sundew already started sprouting new leaves.I can't recommend this product enough. It is very neat, beautiful and easy to care for. Five stars was easy to give for this one.

Scrawny and didn't last.
This plant was pitifully scrawny when it arrived, and I followed directions and found not a single insect attracted to it, and it ended up looking sad as could be in not time. It was dead within a month. Don't waste your money, regardless of the price.

I brought it back to life!!!
It arrived 85% dead with black stems. I followed the instructions, by only giving it rain water or distilled water and I put it in a self watering pot (the tray method I guess works to). It has taken 6 weeks but it is thriving. This little plant is working overtime. It gets so loaded down with fungus gnats that the stems fall over. Be patient, give it love, and sun.
