Does what it says on the tin
Does exactly what an RJ45 crim should do. The push-through cutter works perfectly with solid core cat 6a. Blades are sharp, and it strips well. The crimp for extended ground also works well. I used these with VCELink Pushthrough RJ45s for cat 6a/cat 7 and they were perfect.

Works - most of the time - updated review
Got this and crimped away with some cat6a cables and shielded RJ45s. Worked a treat to begin with. When I moved over to Cat6 (23 AWG) cable, I could not get it to crimp all the terminations. Re-crimping then brought some back and others, that were ok before, then failed. All in all, this device seems more suited to the bigger stuff, but the manufacturer states that cat6 should be fine. I had every plug fail when using a Fluke tester. Its very well priced, but expect issues at times which can be very frustrating.PS I was also using VCELink RJ45s. I have wasted a load of these plugs, and they are not cheap.December update:The manufacturer contacted me regards me issue. They obviously care about their product which is great. They advised I use a different RJ45 connector. I tried what they advise and it works great.Brilliant communications from this company. More of the bigger companies should follow suit.Buy with confidence.

great crimpping tool
these are great for running custom ethernet cables and there easy to use. they have all you would need except for the ablitiy to strip the wire covers which would make them perfect. I've also found as this is my second pair (to replace the first) that theycan rust quite quickly as they seem to have some sort of oil on them. whether thats to help protect them or what i dont know. they have multiple rj connector compatibility, perform there job well and the build is great as its all metal apart from the rubber grip.

Game Changer
Having been using the "old school" crimps for a while, someone invited me to try the passthrough connectors. And I haven't looked back! In terms of this tool, yes, there are better ones out there. But for the money, this is bang on!

This tool is a must for anyone who wants a professional finish. Works every time without fail on cat5 and cat7 cables.I like the cable cutter when using pass through connectors. Recommended.

Dont Bother, absolutely useless.
These look the part but that is where it ends. They do not cleanly cut off the wire ends and leave strands jammed down the side of the blade. Some ends of the wires are left slightly protruding from the end of the connector opening the possibility of a short circuit which will put an end to your very expensive POE switch. I paid the extra money for these because I thought they would do a good job, which they do not. A cheap £10 equivalent tool would do the same job and quite frankly, I could get the same results with an ordinary RJ45 crimper and a craft knife to trim off the ends.
