New DELL Intel i5 Quad Turbo 4.5GHz! Laptop, 12GB RAM, RX Vega 8 Graphics, Fast SSD, Long Batt Life, Win 11 Pro, Office 2021 Pro Plus for life

Bought this because I wanted a new laptop with the Office suite installed, ideally and to have reasonable graphics capabilities. I read through a lot of the reviews and this one stuck out as being well liked.Turned up earlier than expected which was a bonus and I found it easy to set up generally.It has a very nice touch-pad which is sensitive but doesn't "slip" which, together with the decent graphics processing speed makes it a joy to work with documents on (no freezing or juddering of the screen etc).Overall a good buy.The only slightly negative points are that it shows up finger marks a bit and I can't tell when it's fully charged if it's off but these are only minor points really and it is worth the money in my opinion.Also fast to boot up and even faster to shut down. Didn't need to ask for help but I assume the sellers would have been happy to as I noticed Team Viewer was installed. Just needed to let it do some windows updates etc and it was ready to go.

Overall a great buy, would recommend to anyone in this price range. So far I've used it for web development and some video editing and so far no problems.Here's what I found...PROS- Extended warranty- Thin and light- Good quality screen- Includes software ready to go- Large touch pad (My favourite feature is the 3 finger swipe that shows all active programs - allows for easy multi-tasking)- Includes number pad on the right- Fast charging- Simple battery vs performance controlCONS- Internal battery can't be replaced simply if it ever failed (I guess the extended warranty would handle this, but would be a shame to send the whole laptop off to be fixed)- Easy to see fingerprint marks left on the case, sometimes making it look a little grubby (I don't care that much but worth noting)- No CD/DVD drive (Looks like it was replaced with a card reader and USB 3 slot so not a bad compromise considering we are in 2021)

Everything in order and working perfectly. Additions precisely as advertised. Contact sheet for after-sales. This machine is Clarkson-quick (imo), very light and thin, with a nice quality keyboard, and expansive right-click. I was using my printer in less than 10 seconds i kid ye not, which is xtra good from my point of view, (Epson required personal driver download but what the heck). If you like arrow buttons they are only half-size, and volume control is via the Fn. But it is fully HD screen quality! For me, and for the money, a tremendous machine, just need bubble-wrap protective case!

Bought this to replace small reliable but slow Toshiba. To be used for microscopy software. Arrived on time and by a good courier service. Easy to set up, battery fully charged on arrival, operating system and installed software all spot on. It is very quick to start and fast in use. Only had it a fortnight so can’t say how reliable it will be but am optimistic.Had the Dell two months now can’t fault it, good battery life and still doing all I wanted.Had to contact supplier about Windows 11 prompt and helpful response.

No value for money. Started having problems with this laptop within few weeks of buying it. There seems to be some problem with DC jack. It's expensive bought for £658 . They provide only 1 year warranty. They assemble the parts and sell it, so can see why I am having problems with this within few weeks. Amazon are unable to resolve either and get me a refund as its 1.5 yrs since I bought. So don't buy from this seller or amazon. Better buy from dell directly.

The Dell is fast and neat. It has a good clear screen and a lovely precise keyboard. The battery seems to be fine but I haven't tested it. I did have problems initially caused by an upgrade going on and the support was slower than they stated. That was a one off though so I haven't marked it down. Would recommend.

Solid computer and easy set up but can last days to get a reply from there email ( have not got it yet).
