I needed a rail to mount the re-purposed (very heavy) front door for a basement bedroom. I was pleased to find this inexpensive hardware that was delivered promptly, and is very sturdy. Mounting was simple, even though I had to install a wooded mounting board since the studs were not in the "right place" for the mounting hardware. My door rolls very smoothly, and looks great. Note: I did not want to cut a "slice" in the bottom of this door so I purchased a wall mounted roller (also on amazon) to control the door's range of "swing". I would buy again if I can find another barn door application in my house.

The media could not be loaded. I am so happy with this rail and how heavy duty and well made it is! It’s perfectly priced!!I have never built a door or hung barn rails before so I was a little nervous togive it a try! I found the directions to be crystal clear and loved that it came with bolts for a 1 inch or a 2 inch door!It also came with a sway stopper that goes up the middle of the door to stop it from swaying in and out. I didn’t have the right tools to cut up the middle of the door so I screwed the sway stopper into the floor in front of the door to stop it from swaying out. You can see it in the picture. I only added one screw and it hold the door in place perfectly!The rail actually comes in two pieces which at first I was not sure if I would like that however after it’s together you are not able to tell at all that it came in two pieces!It glides smoothly and quietly across the rail with ease!We attached a board to the back because we did not have enough clearance above the door to add the rail.I am over all so happy with this purchase that we have already purchased another one and I have sent many people from our area here to order as well!!

Overall the instructions are easy to follow and the construction of it is sturdy. Didn’t take very long to install it. Maybe a little over an hour overall with the header board. Took some time to modify the door to make it work with the existing opening but everything else was straightforward.When installing it, it’s best to use a header board but the instructions give you options for without and also for concrete. It give the hardware for any installation which is a plus. All the hardware is consistent too. All black.As you install everything, make sure to read the instructions fully. There are a couple steps you need to know before you do the previous.Pros:- The finish is durable. Didn’t chip in the slightest.- instructions are clear. Give you all the dimensions you need to determine mounting and also the max thickness of the door with steps if it’s larger.- Comes with stops on the track. Doesn’t look too bad.Cons:- The Track guide at the base of the door needs to be screwed into the floor. Doesn’t work if it’s concrete. I had to purchase a separate guide off amazon that mounts to the wall. Either option works fine.- the mount on the door went on crooked even though the dimensions were perfect. Make sure you really double check before you drill the holes.The entire assembly is attractive and sturdy. I would purchase it again if I had too.

Did a build out in our office. Wanted to find a way to utilize the closet with an updated look. We ordered the kit for the door we made. It was easy to assemble and it added the extra little touch we needed. Highly recommend anyone who has a door or can build their own door to order this Kit. They cut our cost down 3/4 of what it normally would be if you ordered everything together.
