Great product at an excellent price point!
I used this imitation gold leaf for a Halloween prop that I sculpted out of polymer clay. In order to get the warm, rich gold I was looking for, I began by painting the gray clay with a gilder’s “red clay bole” color. This red base color will show through in spots where there might be voids in the gold leaf application, and it’s a common practice to use this color underneath - many tutorials and videos can be found online. You don’t need to spend lots of money for official red clay bole, just mix your own color that approximates the look by using whatever paints you have on hand.Next, I brushed a thin coat of “size” (gold leaf glue) onto the prop, working in sections and not all at once. With a soft brush, and a little bit of patience, I was able to apply the leaf with relative ease. The results were fantastic, especially considering the shape and intricate details of my prop.If you desire a more antiqued look, you can try mixing a bit of black to your base red clay bole colored paint. Next, thin out the paint and lightly coat your project, paying special attention to get into corners, crevasses, and all detailed areas. Before the paint dries, gently buff off the wash until you’ve reached the desired look. The details will pop, and it will give an even more realistic richness to you piece. With patience and a little bit of time, you can achieve amazing results…and it’s SO MUCH FUN!For 100 sheets, this is an unbelievable value!!!I highly recommend this imitation gold leaf.

Great addition to art projects.
Love adding this beautiful gold sheen to mixed media and other art projects. Very thin so a little fussy to place precisely.

First time user that really liked it.
The media could not be loaded. This is my first attempt at gold leafing. Bought this huge bust, but the base was less than ideal. Was able to decoupage it with gold leaf. Covered all the imperfections and I love it.! Used modpodge then sealed it with the same modpodge. The parts that got a darker patina are the parts that I went on top of with the modpodge. Then I added additional gold leaf without the modpodge on top and those areas stayed lighter and truer to gold leaf. I particularly love the way it came out. Looks like an old piece that has patina over time. Again it’s my first time and I love the way it can put. I even did the technique on the shirt Colombian as well.

The product is lovely, but the delivery was a problem.
We use this product to gild hand-made picture frames. Sometimes we will apply asphaltum, or we will distress it. The product works well. However, the delivery by way of the United States Postal Service, is a bit problematic. This product was delivered sometime between 3:30 P.M. and 4:05 P.M. on Wednesday10 April. My husband returned from work at 3:30; it was not there. At 4:00, I checked the computer, and there was a notice that the product had been delivered by hand, to a person. Nobody had given either one of us anything. I opened the door to see the envelope on the sidewalk, in the sun, about 6 feet from the front door. All that I can conclude is that the postal carrier delivered this to one of the neighbors, a neighbor who simply threw it toward the door and did not even bother to knock. If it had been raining, everything would have been ruined. Every single time a vendor uses the Postal Service, we have a problem getting the product, any product. If it is possible for me to discover that a seller uses the Postal Service, I will buy from someone else who will actually see to proper delivery. After a while, this gets old. NOTE: the problem is not the company; it is the delivery.

My new go-to Gold leaf #MonaLisaDupe #hugeSavings
I have used Mona Lisa brand of gold leaf religiously for years. This year I found myself gold leafing a very large frame and when I quickly ran out of my go to gold leaf, I stumbled upon this product on Amazon. Being curious but very weary, I ordered this along with my original product thinking I would like to compare but probably could not use it on my current project. Boy was I wrong! I placed the items side by side and I could not tell the difference. Upon closer examination, the weight, size, color is EXACTLY the same. The only difference is the name brand product comes booked where the Bememo is loose although it is also separated by paper and comes in a plastic envelope. This had no impact on how it was used. This product was such a 100% match I was able to do half the frame in this product and no one will ever tell the difference. This gold leaf is so economical! I am glad gold is back in fashion because I feel like gold leafing everything! I have included a photo of my project. It has been antiqued with a raw umber glaze. Remember, 1/2 done with the Bememo and 1/2 done with name brand, bet you can not tell the difference. I wish I had also taken a pic before the glaze because it was also identical.
