BUY THIS!I have a 4 year old that picked up the habit of biting her nails from a friend at daycare. She began biting them as far down as she could. It also caused the skin to peel around the ends. It looked painful, and the skin and nail remnants felt so rough and scratchy. I cut my daughter’s fingernails the same day each week, and every week there became less and less to cut.After about 4 or 5 months of this, no matter what I tried, she would not stop. Then I bought this stuff. Game changer!I tried it first because I try almost everything I give my kids. It stayed on for a week, and tasted super bitter the entire time. I found it even kept me from snacking on finger foods so much because just touching the nail to my lips still tasted bad.When I tried it on her, she initially tried to act like it didn’t taste that bad the first time she put her finger to her mouth. That lasted all of about 5 seconds before she asked for something to drink to try to wash the taste out. She immediately drank an entire cup of juice!After the first week of it being applied, I went to cut her nails and WOW! There were actually nails to cut!!! She didn’t bite them all week! I’m so pleased! Not sure how long it’s gonna take to create the constantly habit without the polish, but we will get there. This stuff truly works!

Probably the best product on the market. I have tried more than 5 other similar products, and the effect is noticeable. By 2 year old, was biting his nails, and when i used other products or even hot peppers, he was just laughing. Like he didn’t like it but he still kept doing it. He was thinking it would be funny with this one as well, but the moment he tried it he was disgusted. I did try it too, the taste is just simply disgusting…. Recommend for sure !

This stuff tastes terrible and lingers 😅 it does act as a deterrent for any nail biting when kids are bored or just fingers in mouths. It definitely does not taste good! I’m not sure how long it lasts though, at least for a day or so.Beware as the one applying it too- it will also get on your nails 😬

I'm not giving this a bad rating just because it didn't work for my daughter. Nothing... and I mean nothing worked to get her to stop sucking her finger. We had to do something a little unconventional... lol. But I tested it on myself and it's disgusting. So I'm sure it would work on the right kiddo.

It definitely works. My 3 year old stopped biting her nails within days. The only part that might deter people is that the taste will linger and trigger gag reflexes. It is strong but effective if you have tried everything and need a more intense approach. It will make everything you touch and eat taste horrible. Especially when eating any finger foods which can be hard for little ones but. I just had my daughter use utensils and she was fine.

This is the only thing that's worked more than a week for my toddler. After hundreds of dollars spent on different things (thumb guards, arm devices to stop from reaching, other short lasting bitter treatments, star charts and rewards, etc.) This is the first product that has worked. It last about 5 days until I repaint and it strongly discourages my kid without making food taste gross too (which was my issue with nixxit bc it'd leak EVERYWHERE). So far I am so pleased with this. Dried quickly too so you can do it without worrying about it smearing. A gentle blow will dry it in 2 minutes. Thank God for this product.

I tested this product before applying to my toddler who sucks her thumb.1. It is effective at giving that unpleasant taste when you put it in your mouth.2. You must reapply after handwashing because the coat also washes off.With that said. The product was good at doing its job. Toddlers dirty their hands often so if you’re ok with reapplying often I think this can work for you. In my personal experience my daughter stopped caring about the taste so this may occur to you as well. Don't let that discourage you from trying this. Unfortunately this product only worked a few times for us.
