The ring button went bad. Got a replacement and... the ring button went bad. Didn't hear from the seller about the second one that died. I'm a hard pass on these cheap China copies from here on out. Go to Nvidia and get OEM. The original one lasted 5 years. Def worth the difference!

I've only had this remote for a few weeks and the responsiveness of the main 'select button' is fairly unresponsive, I have to give it a hard click every time.The voice feature works fine and you're able to remap the Netflix button similar to the original. I've had no syncing issues like others have had.

Not Genuine Shield TV remote. Device is not able to read firmware or battery status. Not recommend. also I received remote with ziplock, with no barcode or instructions. Felt its used one. returning it.

I am terrible at keeping up with remotes. Luckily I was able to find this replacement for my Nvidia Shield TV box. It wors just as good as the original and looks the same too. The set up was simple and quick. The voice button is nice to use, just press it and speak what you want to watch. If you need a replacement, I would recommend this one.

This is pretty easy to pair and get working on the shield and it's recognized as an Nvidia controller, though it clearly isn't.On the positive side, the overall build quality feels ok and the buttons are well made and have a much better pressing feel to them than the official controller.On the downside, sveral features of the official remote are missing with this 3rd party one.- No firmware upgrades- The backlight on the buttons work differently. They always turn on as you press a button and immediately turn off. They can't be adjusted in the settings, despite the options being there. And no motion sensitive backlight.- No ability to use find my remote (no speaker in this- Physically opening the remote to change the batteries requires a button press and awkward fumbling to hold it while pushing and sliding, instead of the simple push and slide of the original.Overall it's fine as a quick and cheap, but not full featured, replacement. Assuming you can get it at the $19 it's at now then it is not a bad value. Though I personally would probably post the premium for the extra features (the backlight settings mainly) of the original.
