I used mine to get in and out of an aqua therapy pool. Once I got the hang of it (getting rid of air pockets), it was great.

Yes, there is a screw on the bottom that allows you to turn the cane to your best spot. I love this tool. I drive a pick up truck and our other vehicle is an SUV. By stepping on this step with both feet, I can boost myself into the cars easily.
