Excellent eGPU - Paired w/ Legion Go
This is my first eGPU and GMKTEK purchase. For context, I purchased this to pair with my Legion Go + an OLED portable monitor (UPERFECT 02: OLED 3k 16 inch). My initial impressions were the build quality, which feels very premium. The size is also very compact and the design is minimalistic/subtle. It doesn’t throw RGB at your face or look ridiculous. When plugging it into the Legion Go it was Plug N Play on the internal screen. I was instantly able to use the 7600m XT rather the Z1Es integrated GPU. The performance increased via TB4 and the internal screen was about 15-40% depending on the game. Now, the tricky part was using the external monitor. Unfortunately the stock drivers on the Legion Go don’t play nice with eGPUs and external monitors. This isn’t a fault of GMKTEK, but a fault of Lenovo and their drivers. You will need to install stock 780m drivers on your LEGO to use this and an external monitors. It’s time consuming but isn’t difficult. There’s lots of tutorials online.Once you get the external setup working, the performance jump is quite significant. You will get higher performance on an external monitor rather the internal (bandwidth issue on the LEGOs screen). I was getting anywhere from 30% to nearly 100% more performance. For example, in Cyberpunk 2077, I could achieve nearly 100FPS on 1920x1200 with AMD fluid frames and all settings on high with RTX. That’s amazing for the price point! All in all, I highly recommend the product if you’re looking for an eGPU. If you’re using a handheld and want to use an external monitor, make sure you read up on some guides to help navigate some potential errors.

Working on Rog Ally X, Plug N' Play (Updated)
EDIT/Update:A few weeks on the road, if you are having trouble getting this thing to connect to a monitor after the initial install. Reboot and then Uninstall it in Device Manager, this prompts my AllyX after a few seconds to reinstall it correctly. No complaints on performance still, powers 2 monitors, one of those 4k. Sometimes 3 when in a hotel fairly well. I will say the only things I dislike is the setup, having the power brick built in probably would be more convenient. It is still much smaller than many EGPU enclosures though. This would be a great device for someone that only needs the power of an EGPU at home and still in a fairly small package. Then unplug your handheld and roll outHandles games like Tarkov on pretty high settings well enough for me to be comfortable playingWhen compared to the prices of other 7600mXT EGPUs it has stacked up well. This field looks to be heating up though so keep an eye out for newcomers and keep comparing those prices.I wish it had a USB connection outside of the USB4 connector.Original Review:I'm going to update this later after a few weeks of use on the road. However first impression looks good, it was a plug and play setup, once plugged into the rog ally x, did a windows update, rebooted and change display settings when back up.Ran a test bench with decent results, running two monitors no issues

Affordable with power
For context, I am using this with my OneXPlayer X1 Pro to replace a traditional desktop. Initially I was going to buy the OneXPlayer eGPU but it is double the price. As I continued my search, prices were consistently high until I found this one. Hesitant on how low the price was, I was admittedly nervous. This has allowed my portable device to comfortably achieve 30 FPS in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on medium, 60 FPS in Star Citizen on low (heavy game), and consistently high FPS in Oblivion Remastered at 60 FPS on medium, and 40-50 on High. Another great addition is the USB-C power supply which has made it much easier to grab my portable, disconnect it, and go. The fans are reasonably quiet, and I was surprised how small this device is. I am very happy with my purchase and will continue to support this company if they produce more items I may want.

Impressive performance
I had previously purchased a GMKTek nukbox M7. I switched over to console gaming after PC components (and their prices) were changing faster than I could keep up with. Got the nukbox mini PC because my wife was wanting to get back into the Sims, and was not a fan of using a controller on a console. The stock computer was great, ran older games extremely well right out of the box. The limits of the integrated GPU were pretty obvious for current gen games right away though. The occulink port was a major deciding factor for the nukbox mini PC, and ordered this eGPU setup when I came across it. As I haven't been in PC gaming since 05, I am probably too easy to impress, but this eGPU paired with the mini PC performs phenomenally. Getting good framerates at 1080p and high to ultra settings on a number of current gen games. Atomfall on this rig is indistinguishable from the series X as far as my untrained eyes can tell. Picked up the Inzoi early access for my Sims fan wife. It runs very smoothly at 1080p on ultra. Literally plug and play simple. AMD GPU drivers are one version fits all, so very little fussing with drivers and settings. Great entry point for anyone wanting to get into PC gaming without investing $2000 (or more).

IT STILL BLINKING
The media could not be loaded. WARNING VIDEO HAS BLINKING!!After installing drivers restarting multiple times and making sure the graphics shows up in Windows task manager, it sadly doesn't fix the blinking problem in the game I tested on, this is while I have a full screen YouTube video on another monitor. I'm disappointed that this couldn't simply fix that problem by being a different gpu AND brand. But I guess I'll just be required to get another laptop if I want to play games on it.

eGPU Inconsistent Display
This eGPU offered decent performance increase when it worked. Via USB4 connection it often did not display anything at all, requiring a reboot or two. I returned it after about a week of use.
