Wilton Round Star Icing Tip Set, Large

I received all four tips - they came packaged on a card, in great condition! They were smaller than I expected - so labeling them "large" may be a bit misleading; however, I'm new to pastry tips - perhaps this is large? I am hopeful that the round tip #12 will work for macarons (which was why I bought these) - but if not, I'm still happy with this set because they make icing mini cupcakes a breeze! I frosted 24 of them in just a minute or two ... nothing fancy, but they look cute for so little effort (I think!) I used these with a disposable pastry bag - and the tip worked great with it, no problems there.

Very nice, very small so those of us without professional training can more easily make something pretty on our culinary creations. Bags also abundantly large for those who have a lot to do at once.

I used the 12 for my macarons and they were perfect! Haven't used the others yet but I'm sure they will be great. Wilton tips are a good quality that will last.

These tips are more for what I would call "general piping" than for fancy decorating details. The two larger tips are good for quickly icing cupcakes, laying down lines of pâte à choux, or piping out meringue. The smaller ones are useful for more finicky designs. Wilton has always been a good brand for me when it comes to baking tools, no exception here.

A lot smaller than I thought, but still overall pretty good. makes my food presentation look good. Would be better for mini cupcakes and small bite apps. I would look for something bigger if using for a cake or normal sized cupcakes, unless you want very small details.

This is not a great starter or even a fill in set. I bought them as a relative newbie to baking but quickly learned they don't give many options. The star units are also pretty small toothed and not much different in the output, so there's no real advantage. It would have been much better to get either a larger kit or one with more variety. There's nothing wrong with the pieces, but just not much right with the combo. Waste of money in my opinion.

The tips were bought for my granddaughter who likes to cook and she had fun using the star tip for decorating cupcakes. They worked well for frosting with a flare.

I make cakes and cupcakes, I'm a Caker, I need multiple of each tip. These were on sale so I grabbed them to add to my collection of tips.Love the wilton brand, they never disappoint.
